winterdd
hey guys and gals, a couple years ago i made a simple sign and cannot remember nor find the article on high i did it step by step. it was a business sign. it did not contain any 3d lettering. what i do remember was making a rectangle polyline sold and somehow was able to overlay the name on the sign from a bitmap or something. it came out great and added it to my business project i was working. any tips on how this is done? Chopsaw
Sure if you have an image of an existing sign you can make that into a material and apply it to a p-solid. You can also create 3D letters from p-solids or even use some of the symbols from the Chief Library.
glennw
Or..... you can use the Create Billboard Image tool. It saves making a material. The billboard will display in a rendered view as long as textures are toggle on. It will display in a vector view with patterns toggled on or off.
