Apollosg 1 Posted January 12 Hoping someone can help figure out how to change this. I did this a while ago, by pasting excel cells into a regular text box. I am not sure how I manipulated the grid to allow for more than one line of text in the header box, but can't seem to recreate it in another similar table. Also, if I try to shrink the last column "Length" it reverts to one line. What are the controlling factors for this? I have attached a Layout and the table pic in question. Chopsaw 638 Posted January 12 You will need to compress the columns to create the multi line column headers but there is a problem which I would consider a bug in that once the width of the first or last column's is established it can not be reduced without collapsing the other columns to a single line which just makes a mess of your schedule, so if for instance if you wanted to reduce your text size you are in a heap of trouble. Hoping it will be fixed in X13 but you know how that works...... An undisclosed number of people need to send in the same report.
Apollosg 1 Posted January 12 Thanks, I thought I was doing something wrong when the end column kept messing it up. I didn't try the middle columns after that. I appreciate your time to look at it.

What are the controlling factors for this? The factors are many and as Chopsaw alluded to above, seem to be somewhat controlled by the initially pasted text. That being said, the main controlling factors are the Tab Stops and the Margins, and you can gain quite a bit of control by individually adjusting those. First...The first column can indeed be resized. Don't do it using the left side of the column though. Do it using the right side. Second...Just a quick power tip, but you can reset the seemingly uncontrollable width of the column on the far right to its minimum width by unchecking Auto Height and Auto Width, changing both those settings to zero and then immediately rechecking both. Apollosg 1 Posted January 14 Thank you everyone, it was both changing the middle column width to get the text wrap and workaround of the "known issue" of the end column that helped me. I appreciate your taking time to help. Gary
