I’m experiencing significant issues with my current laptop running Design Suite software. Looking to purchase MacBook Pro. Can anyone tell me the ideal load I should pursue in a MacBook so I can make this purchase payoff for years to come.? Thanks in advance.

I recently had a new desktop built. My video card is a Nvidia GTX 1070. It is an 8GB card. when I look at my message log it says I only have 4GB of ram.
OpenGL Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL Renderer: GeForce GTX 1070/PCIe/SSE2
OpenGL Version: 3.3.0 NVIDIA 384.76
OpenGL VRam: 4095
OpenGL GPU Count: 1
OpenGL GPU VRam: 4095
OpenGL GPU Driver Name: nvoglv64
OpenGL GPU Driver Date: 6-27-2017
OpenGL GPU Driver Version: 22.21.13.8476
OpenGL GPU Model: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
OpenGL GPU Device Path: pci\ven_10de&dev_1b81
Here is my system.
Windows 10 Pro
Intel Core i7-6900K
Nvidia GTX 1070
Crucial MX300 275GB SSD
Crucial 4X4GB DDR4 2400 RAM
Anyone have a similar issue? I have Chief X8 and X9 on this system. The message log in both programs say the same thing. If anyone is running Windows 10 Pro with an 8GB card can they have a look at their message log and tell me if you are getting a similar message? This could just be a logging issue.

Is there any way to access individual user created library items outside of chief to delete corrupted files? I have a detail I added to the library, but I changed some things and added it back to the library with the same name. The new one is good but the old one, every time I click on it, I get an error message. I can't delete it inside chief so I was hoping I could delete it some other way. Any help would be appreciated.

When I did an elevation or perspective, nothing would show up, just a white blank page. I followed some instructions on the Chief Architect Support page and changed some of my rendering preferences and now I can see the elevations and perspectives but it still doesn't look quite right as lines are missing etc. I've gone to HP.com to update my driver but it says there are no available updates. Not really sure where to go from here..? Do I not have the right requirements? Do I need a new laptop or is it a simple fix?
Laptop I'm using- HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC, Windows 7, 64-bit, 8GB
Microprocessor- Intel® Core i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz
Graphics Device 1- Radeon HD 6770M
Graphics Device 2- Intel® HD Graphics Family
Any input would be great!

My 2 year old laptop is painfully slow and having issues with graphics since I upgraded to X6. As a kitchen designer, I tend to load a lot of different materials which exacerbates the problem. Chief Architect crashes when I try to pull an elevation view about 50% of the time. If I try to show a line drawing, it takes about 20 minutes to load.
I currently have 8g of memory, and 1 gig of ram dedicated for graphics. However, my graphics card cannot be upgraded as it is imbedded in the mother board. When I spoke to tech support, they said that my set-up should be adequate. I am looking for a solution and am willing to upgrade. I do not want to have a desktop as my work tends to be mobile from office to jobsite.
Please offer suggestions for the best laptop to solve the problem. I am also interested in setting up an additional monitor for docking screens, but hesitate in the purchase as the local "experts" don't seem to know what I am talking about. I would appreciate some technical help.
Thanks
