HumbleChief
Took over a project from another Chief user and am having a tough time with many things, mainly from just another approach and some from just not knowing Chief well enough to build the structure instead of CAD, Default for every component. Plan is a complete mess but am gradually repairing it . Anyway I can't seem to solve this dilemma. Second floor, build roof, exterior walls disappear. Help please and thank you. https://www.dropbox.com/s/kb9ysi0iewbo9gm/WALL DISAPPEARS 1_2019_04_16_14.plan?dl=
HumbleChief
Every wall a roof plane traverses, disappears. Weird...
chief58
Larry I have found when getting a plan from someone else to finish or correct might just start from scratch and use there dimensions and layout what they want but in my way, saves time in the end
glennw
Larry, It sounds like you want to build auto roofs? Did you really want a hip roof with a 1 3/16" pitch? If you open up the wall dbx's and uncheck Roof Cuts Wall At Bottom on the Roof panel, the walls will build OK.
Alaskan_Son
Lots of problems in that plan with walls that have been adjusted in 3D so they're no longer using their default behaviors (Default Wall Top/Bottom Heights). And Glenn called it correctly...That Roof Cuts Wall At Bottom setting is what's causing the problem you're specifically asking about.

Roof is a very shallow pitched gable and yeah lots of problems as you said Michael but this will move me along. Thanks for taking the time to look at the plan.
