builtright3
If I export a plan and I want the recipient to get everything to open it properly with all the patterns, are these the right setting? Anyone? I mean,I know I can just save the plan and send it but whats the best way to make sure everything comes with it? Alaskan_Son
Nope. That's the wrong way.

Anyone? NO that will send a dwg, no textures For a Chief plan with textures use file, backup entire plan then use the options from there. IF multiple plans and a layout do that from the layout it will then include any plan files. Either will include textures. For sending use the zip option.
Alaskan_Son
What Mark said. I was just going to take a screenshot or 2. Here are the settings I typically recommend... ...and if you have a layout already started for the project, do this from the layout file and not from the plan file so that the layout file and any referenced plan files are all included in the zipped folder.
Chopsaw
If you actually want to send to an AutoCad user then check the export file with the free Auto Desk DWG Trueview Viewer. https://www.autodesk.com/products/dwg
