RL-inc
I downloaded a SKP file of some bridge washers I am needing but do not need all of them in one symbol. See attached Is there a way to separate them so I can place the one I need I my plan? Much thanks bridge+washer.skp
TheKitchenAbode
You can load the symbol into a blank plan and then use the Delete Surfaces tool to remove what you don't need. Then use the Convert to Symbol function to save the new symbol back to your library.
Greg_NY61
What TKA said or what washer do you need from there?
RL-inc
Thanks Guys- If the individual washers turn out to be resizable as most other symbols are then the larger one would probably be fine. Just curious is there a way to group or multiple select view surfaces? Looking for faster way to accomplish what Graham suggested.
Greg_NY61
The fastest way is to do that in SketchUp it will take a few seconds,

Unfortunately I'm not aware of any way to group select surfaces, just one at a time. You could use SketchUp as Greg suggests.
RL-inc
Unfortunately- an I know this is probably blasphemy around here- I don't use Sketchup.
Greg_NY61
Here is the biggest washer only. You can resize it as you need it. bridge+washer.skp

I personally use Chief for probably 99% of my custom modeling. Very rarely do i feel the need to use Sketchup. I was able to import your SKP fie, isolate a single washer, and create a new symbol quite literally in a matter of seconds (less than a minute). I've been thinking for quite some time about doing some group workshops to cover a number of these lesser documented capabilities and methods. Maybe if there seems to be enough interest I'll set one up to go over some Advanced Symbol Manipulation tips and techniques...
