ChiefuserLarkin
Anyone have these issues with bearing wall footings not extending past the adjacent 90 deg. wall or extending out 8" past end of the wall? Thanks
CARMELHILL
Yes. It's an annoyance. I think you have an invisible wall that the footing is terminating into. The footing only draws from the end point of the wall. You can't edit the footing termination with the "Edit Wall Layer Intersections" button to go any further. That tool is only good for the wall itself, not the footing. I was thinking today about drawing the footings separately from the walls so I could work around this limitation.
ChiefuserLarkin
Hopefully they fix it in future release!
Design20
I realize this thread is pretty old, but was anybody able to find a solution/workaround to this issue? I'm having this same problem. It seems to me that Chief should be able to do this since in the real world footings usually extend past bearing walls.
GeneDavis
Drawing dashed-line slabs works for me, and they get put on the same layer as other footings.

Same here, but I also agree it should be automatic as that's the way it is done in the real world.
Chrisb222
I extend them with CAD lines and CAD masks. It sucks. But I like the footing to stay with the wall in case I move the wall, I want the footing to go with it.
