ACADuser
First one of these for me but can't get it to auto build. I used my template file so maybe my defaults are not set correctly. Called a cabin due to it small basic design. Nothing special just framing floor & foundation. Thanks Plan deleted (Wrong version of Chief sorry)
DougMaddox
What version of X8 are you using? When I try to open .plan file, Chief tells me I am running an old version of X8 - but I have the latest version. Doug
HumbleChief
Same here. I think Alan mentioned in another post he was on the X9 Beta team - perhaps it's an X9 file?
Richard_Morrison
X9 files are not readable in X8, Alan, so you won't get too much help here.
justmejerry
Perhaps send to layout and post the pdf to give us an idea.
ACADuser
Sorry folks forgot what version it was. Plan Deleted. I'll upload an X8 version after dinner.
Northriver
Alan, are you referring to post and bean on top of pier pads (no foundation wall and footing)? If so the program does not do it automatically. To do post and beam just create a blank foundation, set reference display to fist floor, draw in your beams, add post (round or square) with pier and add your joists. All parts go in at the proper heights. If you want it elevated just lower the terrain and post and piers should automatically adjust. I have drawn several of these types of buildings. ACADuser
Yes, as if you built the house on a DECK. I expected it to build as if a deck but with 3/4" plywood sheeting ILO 5/4 decking.
ACADuser
OK using a blank plan X8 I got it to build a floor framing & I manually added beams & post w/ foundations. Just need to adjust height of post. Maybe adding terrain will help with that. I think the other plan had some defaults set that prevented me from creating the floor framing.
