mrscott
Two issues: 1) My kitchen is mostly cabinets but the material list is calculating Base Molding for the entire space including doorways. 2) A closet is also calculating the entire linear footage including the door. There is no base molding where the door is located...Duh! What am I missing to get the correct data for Base and Crown molding? Thanks,
DRAWZILLA
Typically on an addition or new structure, the base includes the door openings so you can cut to fit without having lots of pieces.
MarkMc
For kitchen crown I use ol length, divided by 12, round up, plus one foot for every cut. Total divided by lengths available (8,10 ft) rounded up. Add one depending on installer. Chief doesn't figure it out.
MarkMc
Should read foot per joint, not cut.
joey_martin
Had an exact conversation with a builder once about the foot length Chief was giving us. He didn't believe it, didn't want to hear it.....ended up buying more base.
mrscott
Thanks guys. Perhaps this will be corrected in the next release with some options on how you want to calculate.
