Draftsmith
Can I start a staircase with winders? Like the photo attached? With the angled pieces at the bottom/start of the stairs going up?
DRAWZILLA
Just so you know, in most of the country, this is illegal, you must have a min 6" wide space on those winder treads at the small ends.
Draftsmith
Is there a legal way to draw stairs that solve this problem?

GeneDavis
Too complicated to do the to-code thing with Chief stairs only. I'd draw the three kites as landings, and then spring up from there.
HumbleChief
Chief will get you pretty darn close with its automatic tools. All you have to do is notate Chief's stairs and you're there.
michaelgia
Draw your straight section first and raise the bottom of that section by the total rise of your three winder risers. Then draw each winder as a landing. You can shape a landing to any shape. Just don't forget to uncheck the automatic height when connected to stair, box.
