Cabinet Clipped Corner - Wall

Recommended Posts

Something that has perplexed me for year...

Is there anyway at all to show a clipped corner on a cabinet and get it to butt against a wall and not default back to displaying a normal square cabinet?

If you are wanting an angled back cabinet against a wall. I just make my base 3" or 4" thick so it shows the front as normal. Then use a custom countertop and angle it to conform to the wall. It works for now until Chief gives us angled back cabinets

Another option is an angled front cabinet with matching back rotated 180 degrees. ;)

Depends on what you mean? either what Joe and Perry suggest or if you mean a true clipped corner.

Front clip has a 1/16 filler between it and the wall that is set back from the front edge of the cabinet by 1/16. IRL I wouldn't be doing that with anything less than a 1-1/2" filler likely 3 though.

Back clip also has 1/16 filler between it and the wall set just forward of the clip, cabinet is 1/16" shallower than the adjacent cabinet and pulled that much off the wall. Note that there is a limit to clip size so if you need more at the back then the other suggestions apply.
