  1. What do you think of this? $2k https://www.digitalstormonline.com/configurator.asp?id=1108756
  2. I hope CA is listening and will make the necessary updates and fixes to get stairs up to par with other software (Autocad Architecture has had great stairs for the past 10 years) I depend a lot on correct stair representations for our homes, I think this issue alone will be the factor in my decision to switch my architectural team to CA, I will wait for X7 to come out before a final decision
  3. DSH you got to stop working on Beta X7.....
  4. If you could have 1 (one, uno, I) thing that would get updated / fixed / added / or tweaked in CA, what would it be? BIM? Stairs? Command Line? Undo List? Layouts? (Please keep it in topic and post only one wish and give a brief description) - Thanks!
  5. Doug - what about a history list of commands so one can undo by picking a list? Like mentioned before, Autocad, Photoshop have this and it is a very useful feature, imperative to have in CA - Thx

We pay $1650 for ACA subscription and we only get new colors every year....talk about Autode$k making some $$$$
  7. Don't cabinets have a transparent hatch? Can you make the shelf from a cabinet?
  8. What ever room adjacent to the house that is not finished or conditioned one needs to measure to the outside of the wall that is per ANSI standards basically it is treated as an exterior wall
  9. Doug, We built 150 homes this year (going to 200 next year) and we follow the ANSI standards for all of our sq ft calcs (very common among builders) - This is something we heavily rely on, it affects everything from estimating, purchasing and marketing. Raul
  10. Try drawing a 36' x 22' box, add some walls, move them etc - I understanding rounding +/- 1 but 2 or 3? something is not right
  11. Guys see attached - 3 images showing the same box and with 3 different SF numbers, something is just not right here
  12. Really like your setup and style Joey - if you are available for doing some training let me know, thx
  13. Look at the files already posted, no garage only interior rooms. When I delete the long walk the sf changes 2 feet
  14. "rague toca" is more like "Rage" as in furious ,,,lol....thanks for the video, makes a lot more sense now Raul
  15. I needed full BIM capabilities I would go with Archicad
  16. ...I am even more confused now!
  17. My purchasing/estimator director he go nuts if he sees this, anyway, I am still playing with the demo, hopefully CA gets to a point where we can do polyline based areas like in Autocad
  18. Perry, the issue I see is that is giving different numbers when the numbers should be THE SAME regardless of how many interior walls you add, thats just bad programming IMO
  19. This kinda scares me - When you build and budget houses by the square footage, how can one trust what CA does with the way it measures the areas?
  20. I found that the longest interior wall is causing the discrepancy - is that intentional in the CA programming? If it is it then it does not meet ANSI standards
  21. I bought the book "Residential Design Using X6" while doing one of the exercises I found something abnormal. I drew a 36'-0"x22'-0" room with a living area of 792 SF - BUT when you add interior partitions the living area changes to 790 SF - Have any of you encountered something like this before? See Attached
  22. Thanks Joey - good looking stuff! Was this all CA or did you create some 2d stuff in Autocad?
  23. Lew, is there a place where files are posted?
