  1. Have you guys seen the rendering engine inside Envisioneer? Program it self is pretty lame but its rendering engine reminds me of Maxwell....very nice results
  2. I have also noticed it A LOT on cornice returns, the rafter/cornice framing shows up in front of fascia boards.....it would be beautiful if it was addressed...
  3. Kevin I circled it to point it that the sashes clean up right but not the top of the door panel
  4. See attached - if Chief is able to clean up the joints on casings, sashes why wouldn't do it on muntins and door panels? Not saying this is a bug or anything, but it would be nice if they were consistent in the material cleanups
  5. A faulty plan will produce a faulty roof - and if you only want the model to look at furniture placement or layout, why do you need the roof for? anyways.....the roof is pretty simple, a front to back MAIN ridge, all other roofs basically SIT on the main front to back hip roof -
  6. So who wins the title of KOWA?
  7. If someone can make it happen is you Doug
  8. I completely agree with the statement above ^^^^^^ CA markets heavily (way too much IMO) on X6's ability to do interiors (cabinets, interiors renderings) but lacks in presenting it as an architecture solution / alternative to the major players out there - When I started searching for an Autocad replacement, CA was one of the first ones I found but I overlooked it at first t because it looked as one of those DIY house designer programs you can buy at Walmart - I am really hoping X7 will have some nice updates and fixes to the workarounds.....If they don't fix stairs and auto elevation regens, I will not make the switch....
  9. Did you model all those buildings?
  10. Perry - what program is that? I did a quick screencast in ACA - Autocad has a properties box and also a "quick" properties that is customizable, you can add which things you want to quickly edit.... http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/c2lqrJetmA
  11. The quick properties box in Autocad is dockable and has an "autohide" feature, which means if I want to see the quick properties I simply roll over my mouse over it and it shows or opens up. Since I have 2 screens, I always have it open on the 2nd screen - No shame in using others ideas/approaches...just ask Apple or Samsung....
  12. Thats how Autocad's properties box is - I suggested this.....nothing new under the sun
  13. https://www.facebook.com/ChiefArchitect?ref=stream&fref=nf
  14. I had already suggested this on the suggestions forum....I only got 1 reply! lol
  15. Can someone explain it better? For instance, Is Autocad considered modeless?
  16. We are leaving Autodesk products not because of look of the GUI but because of the lack of NEW and IMPROVED features to make my job as an architect/designer easier, maybe not easier, but more productive - honestly, I don't care if CA's GUI is antiquated, I want to have tools that will help me be more productive, more accurate and more important that will allow me to design in real time, I think CA does that pretty well...now, if they improve their GUI that will be great, I would rather they improve the amount of "work arounds"
  17. I really wish CA will take on fixing this, unless there is another way of doing it?
  18. If stairs and auto/updated elevations have been fixed and or improved on X7 why is CA quiet about it? I wonder how many of CAs engineers and programmers are or have been architects/designers/drafters themselves......
  19. Is there a video somewhere that shows how to do this? Also, can this view be sent to a layout and notes, dimensions to it?
  20. Joey - can shadows appear on elevations with your method / technique>?
  21. Now this is pretty funny, Autodesk Autocad Architecture has taken the opposite approach, they ONLY update their GUI (which is awesome) and have not added any new features (why we are dumping them) - I believe CA is close to being the best residential design software available
  22. Robert, So now that you have (or were forced) been using CA for quite some time, have you learned to loved it? is it growing on you?
  23. Not only that, in Autocad Architecure "Match Properties" will match the properties of AEC objects, Walls, doors, windows, etc
