  1. I have tried. Maybe I'm missing something. I'll post it, thanks!
  2. Anyone have a suggestion on how to get Chief from clipping this little angled wall back? The "Right" image is drawn with CAD fill, but obviously it won't look like that in a rendering unless I add P solids as a workaround. Am I missing something?
  3. I only use all caps and don't have a problem on a PC.
  4. Ray, thanks so much. This is really helpful!
  5. Ray, would you mind posting your chief file of that? I'm about to embark on my first log home and would love to see your wall assemblies, etc. It could be a great lesson!
  6. Here's the plan. Man, the website rejected it three times first. Thanks for taking a look. The cabinet in question is the one containing cooktop. Montomery 02.plan
  7. There is a custom counter top. The cabinet still doesn't clip when another one touches it.
  8. Rather, I cannot get them to stay clipped if another cabinet touches or is close to its side. As it's common to clip a deeper depth cabinet when placing a sink or cooktop in a deeper cabinet (27"), what do y'all do in this circumstance?
  9. Does anyone export their time tracker data into Excel? I can't figure out what cell format to use to get the time to calculate correctly. I'll bet it's a simple choice, but I've not found it!
  10. OK, I'm not exactly answering my own question, but now I'm even more perplexed. I just opened an older plan that has bulletted numbers that go past 9 with no issues. No prefix either.
  11. When creating a numbered list within Chief's Rich Text boxes, the numbered line following 9 is 0, then it starts all over again. I suppose I can import from a processor. Does anyone have a better way? In this screen shot I've placed a "0" prefix, which at least gets me to 10, but now it adds a "0" to 10.
  12. Good to know! I didn't realize we could save them. Thanks!
  13. I found it. Must be a brain issue. When I opened up the wall types list and defined them there it worked.
  14. I don't remember having this problem before X7. When I change the default wall materials, the walls that I've already drawn (and there are lots) are not changing. I'm finding that I have to open up each wall, or group select them, to change the materials. Am I missing something?
  15. Every time I open Chief X7 it says there's an update available. But I have the latest. When I try to run the update it thinks I want to repair something. Is anyone else getting this?
  16. Cad objects snap fine, but fixtures, cabinets and solids don't seem to work. Anyone else having this problem?
  17. It hangs for hours. I had no problem with X7 on my other computer. The problem developed with this new (older) computer.
  18. Tommy, it hangs as soon as I hit the Print button regardless of what my output attempt may be. I don't even get as far as choosing the printer.
  19. Thanks Jeff! I may take you up on that!
  20. My office computer crashed and I'm having to work on a laptop. For some reason I can't print. As soon as I hit the print button (or File>Print) the program hangs forever. I get the little turning wheel thing and can't use Chief. Have to Ctrl>Alt>Del and force it to close. Everything else works. I'm stumped! All I want is to print PDFs!
  21. I see quite a few people have downloaded my "AGD Typical Plan Set.zip." If anyone has comments or suggestions, or has found something useful, I'd like to know.
  22. Hi Michael, Yes, X7 is still in beta, but it is very solid. I've had almost no issues. Unfortunately I've done quite a bit of work on the files in X7, so I can't revert without losing it. Another user already responded to this request and will work on it next week, but I'm always open to building new relationships. I anticipate requesting collaborative help on construction documents for the foreseeable future if business continues as is. Regards,
