  1. Ok, what I came up with is to put them on a layer set as Ii usually do but copy and paste to the second floor. But what I didn't know is that I can cut and paste "Hold Position" and it will be same as first floor. That works unless someone has an even better idea?
  2. I put them on their own layer set but don't see in the dbx where to display them on all floor?
  3. I'm not sure what the technical term is but I call them "Reference Lines" (refer to attached picture to see what I'm talking about). My question is; Is there a way to put these reference lines on the first floor plan and have them show up automatically on the other floors without having to manually put them on each floor? I put these in on all my drawings manually and I hope I'm not missing something simple. I thought there should be an option or tool to automatically generate reference lines but I haven't found anything yet.
  4. On an addition they only calc out the effected area in the T24 energy
  5. I guess just being consistent is most important. I appreciate all the input. Although since I have been on the forum I have changed the way I do things on several items. Hoping that I can be of help to others at some point.
  6. I don't always show existing windows and doors for the entire house but when your doing Historical houses you have to show everything for the planning commission.
  7. I put the (E) and the (N) in front of the label in the schedule and on the elevations but not the floor plan. Like this:
  8. Well.....I suck at golf so I may as well be doing stupid stuff with CA to pass my time. Seriously though I learn a lot when we tangent off on some of these issues.
  9. Well, I couldn't help much with solving problems so I'm glad I can make you laugh at least.
  10. Check out my video. I can fix that default setting for you!
  11. I'm not an expert on cabinets but what about the "Glass Hose" view? I know it shows the shelving in the cabinets but I don't know how that would exactly help you. You can put in a extra page just for the view to see what in the cabinets. Not sure, just a thought. I guess the glass house option could help you to quickly draw your cad lines maybe. I will use the name Joey seeing how we already have a Joe
  12. Jim, I glad to find out that you cant change the CA 97 1/8 because I spent hours one day trying to do that myself. I thought I was missing something simple and I was going nuts.
  13. I only hope when I grow up I can be as good as you guy's. I'm blown away!
  14. Where is the best place to by the Disto with the built in camera?
  15. The city historical team is driving me nuts! They wan the window labels to be in order going around the house. Can I change that some how?
  16. Perry, I like that you use circles instead of squares for your window callout labels. It looks better on the elevations. Do you have a paten on that? HaHa Thank You
  17. Thank You Everyone, Life Savers!
  18. Perry, Has anyone ever told you are awesome you are because you are!!! Love Your Video!!! Joe
  19. Can anyone tell me how to write into the comments on the window schedule?
  20. Yes, things get a little messed up and missed placed but so far not to bad. Easy to fix
  21. I'm with you Charlie. You need all those measuring tools. Just a laser don't cut it by itself and it doesn't work to good in the sun or for outside to outside corners. As for the electronics ipad I think pen and paper is simpler than messing around with a screen you are trying to see in the sun and sweating all over it. Might work fine inside. Also if the batteries goes dead your in trouble.
  22. The floating wall went away when I rebuilt the foundation. Not sure what happened. This drawing was complete and somehow the file got messed up so I had to fix a lot of stuff,
