  1. BTW I can't find the Middle CU in Chief. x7 & x8 here
  2. Thanks you Mr Hall.. The Partition wall was created as one continuous wall. It has drywall on both sides. I broke the wall as it leaves the stairwell, changed to stucco only on both sides which made the wall off center. Then I used the center tool to move it. That is when the problems started. Your fix worked for me. Thanks Interesting about the AC units. How do you find out how many faces it has?
  3. Oops, You were posting at the same time as me. Thanks Joe.
  4. I figured it out. Make CAD detail from view & then mirror the details lines, send that to layout. Although this works you loose the LIVE update or any automatic update abilities.
  5. I have a 4 unit townhouse & want to mirror the middle & end unit to create a 4 unit elevation. Any ideas?
  6. Another problem with a roof top wall. Any idea what is causing this?
  7. See attached plan level 4 I need to put a DECK on top of the Roof. The Roof will be pitched 1/4 per foot toward the rear. The deck will sit on the roof & step down as the roof tapers. I was going to model this but it appears I may not be able to. Any thoughts? MacDill RH-Unit A.zip
  8. <Quote>One more thing, I'm no interior decorator but whatever Plan B is for those window treatments... I would go with it. </Quote> LOL waking up here in Florida. Thanks Rich for starting my day with a good laugh.
  9. They may not be impacted by rain but there is an issue with insects here in Florida. So the spring loaded covers do a good job of keeping those little critters out.
  10. Have you looked at this thread? https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/index.php?/topic/20-time-to-show-your-goodies/
  11. How do you folks manage the display in plan view of the cook top & hood? Thought I saw a topic on this but can't find it. The hood covers the cook top & you can't see any of the burners. I often use a cabinet to house the hood & can manage transparency of the cabinet but not the hood.
  12. Thanks for the tip. I'll try to remember it.
  13. Update, Had to leave so I closed CA & when reopened the plan the PDF was behaving normally. Go figure.
  14. Oh sorry I forgot it was not embedded in the file. PDF added to post above
  15. With 8x the PDF import is not transparent especially after 'point to point resize. I can not find how to lighten up the PDF. Simmons.zip Concept drawings 5.24.16.pdf
  16. OK Plan Fixed. Thank guys.
  17. Oh thanks fellas! I nee to look up once in while.
  18. Looks like the Weird line is associated with a Invisible wall i used to create the Lanai. Not sure how to get rid of it though.
  19. See attache PLAN. The line can not be selected. What is it. Also i have a poly solid making the Pool Deck that has crossing vertex which I can not locate. I do appreciate your time to look at his. Thanks Simmons.zip
  20. New day & fresh eyes. Took some tweaking but I got it. The narrow wall, no drywall & 2.5" width made the plan view more realistic. I had the change all the walls forming the "Open Below" to the narrow Fence type to get the corners to form properly. Also the end walls with door openings to suppress the railing at top & bottom of the stair run need to be set to Cable Railing too to get the connections to form properly.
  21. See attached plan. See camera S24 Issue one is the plan view of the railing. Should I create a railing wall with no drywall & a 3" core to get the plan view to look like a railing? Issue two is where the stair on 2nd floor meets the Open Below. See S24. The railing on the stair needs to follow the stair all the way to the toe of the bottom tread. Then the level railing should start near that point. I need to run some errands but will return in 2 or 3 hours so I will be silent until then. Thanks in advance. MacDill RH-Unit A.zip
  22. Wow the price is right. Problem is I have a ton of LISP routines I use daily & my hobby is lisp programing. You need to get the pro version $1,250 to run lisp as I read here. http://worldcadaccess.typepad.com/blog/2012/04/a-user-reviews-draftsight-the-free-and-pro-versions.html BricsCAD is still top of my list so far at $550
