  1. Had to use this again today, Thanks for pointing the way.
  2. I used a "Doorway" and added a Barn Door (Surface Sliding Door Arch Block) to the plan. Now I need to include it in the schedule but it appears as though Doorways are not included in the Door Schedule, Period. I have "Include in Schedule" checked.

Joe, I can't seem to locate that one in the "Macro of the Month" Can you tell me which month or send again. Thanks for your hard work.
  5. The closest I could build a truss to the corner is just under 4 feet.
  6. with the room I was able to add the trusses. I think the Max plywood span may require the little trusses, no positive though.
  7. OK the Room below with "Open Below" room type made the trusses buildable. This is from the truss manufacture, They have no problem building the small trusses.
  8. The area below was a Balcony but owner did away with it. I just tried to add a ceiling plane about the height of the soffit & cut to the shape of the roof planes but about 1.5" inside the roof planes (0 pitch) But no luck. Also tried to grab the 3 roof planes & auto build but result was not correct. I'll try a room with room divider walls & open to below next.
  9. Thanks Michael, that fixed the floor trusses. Look at the corner hip trusses on the next floor up, the very last truss will not build. Is that a bug? The roof up there is a normal roof. Thanks again.
  10. See attached plan & picture. Hip trusses can not be drawn in some areas. Some floor trusses can not be extended but some can. Also same at 3rd floor same problem at areas over eve corners. Englewood.zip
  11. When sharing details to the client I prefer this method: https://skfb.ly/XSqC I guess you could add the fixed view to the plan. But when you need annotation the fixed views are necessary
  12. Well I did an ALL OFF & turned trusses only selected & Moved them -8" seemed to work OK
  13. I have a house where I had to lower the first floor ceiling 8" & the floors above dropped 8" . I had a framing plan https://skfb.ly/XSqC But I do not want to rebuild ALL the framing for fear some of the modified framing will be removed. How do you lower the floor trusses & roof without messing yup the rest to the house framing? I have already selected the walls floor by floor & rebuilt them. Also most if the exterior walls are block walls. How would you display an outline for the block walls so you an tell they are there but not block the view of the framing? Erasing surfaces is too tedious & not permanent in the 3d view. Thanks
  14. Post a plan. But looks like you have an extra hidden wall on the 2nd floor.
  15. yes sir I do. I just want a toggle like press F20 to switch modes & F20 again to switch back. I go along doing my business but at times the lack of a better selection method gets to me and I go off on a search to fix this aggravation that I suppress daily. The Click & drag is the other one that drives me nuts. Oh I live with it but I don't have to like it.
  16. You know your getting old when you forget the meaningful conversation you had in January. Well the SC keys are close together but the SI requires two hands or awkward left hand jump. Just complaining, sorry. Thanks for the reminder.
  17. I would like to toggle between "Select Crossing" and "Select Contained" with a Hot Key. Is that doable?
  18. Thanks Eric, I kicking myself for not thinking about that. It's nice to have another pair of eyes sometimes.
  19. This is a non standard situation & I used a 3rd floor structure to allow me to create floor joist for the roof. But the skin on the side of the building is not building. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Central.zip
  20. I apologize for not answering this thread. Just found it again looking for a Bar Joist Solution. Good solutions all but. I'm on the run again so I may just do it in Autocad this time too.
  21. Oh, thanks for the sleuthing Lewis. Looks like you need to register to get o that product submittal download. Sorry about that. The copy paste Michael recommended worked fine for me. Main web site entry point: http://www.pgtindustries.com
  22. Thanks that did the trick. The link results in a pop up box for the download, worked for me.
  23. What is the least painful way to import a Word Document? http://www.pgtindustries.com/system/files/architect-files/new_vinyl_winguard_csi_specs_-_fpa_0.docx I want to retain all the formatting so do i need to print to pdf & separate pages into separate files? I want to places thee on one layout sheet. Thanks
