  1. I've been out of town & will look at this again tomorrow. But I made all the rooms 300" high to get the walls up to the underside of the roof structure as a requirement. I manually added all the ceiling planes which strips tr drywall off the walls. My plan was to frame the walls with steel for section views. All wall types vary per specifications. This leaves what look like post on the walls that do not go to the ceiling. This is a result of manually pulling the top of walls where i need them. I even tried railing walls, no luck. Next I'll try pony walls. The ceilings are at 9' with some walls going to 10' & others going all the way up.
  2. I have a 50 room building & need to create ceiling planes in each one. Can the be done in one process? The metal building has a roof with underside at 12 feet to 25 feet. Some walls go to underside of roof, some are 10' tall. I need to have a drop ceiling at 9' for most of the rooms. Am I going to have to do this manually?
  3. OK seems to be working now. 2024 gremlin
  4. I can not get the website to search this morning?
  5. Select object Menu bar at bottom of screen: Open Symbol Or Open Object & find "2D Block" Select "2D Block" Find Button "Generate Block" to create a new block.
  6. Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try.
  7. This seems to work for labeling the walls
  8. Looks like this is what I was looking for. %wall_type[5..6]%
  9. The 6th 7th & 8th characters from that WALL TYPE. Currently I'm using 3E as a wall type example. I may need 3E1 in the future. %wall_type% returns "Wall 3E to roof", all my wall type names in this project start with "Wall xx ......." I want the label on the wall to display in plan view as "3E"
  10. I'm trying to use Object Info Code in my table. The 3 characters are embedded in the Object Description. And I want the to appear as the Wall Label. Any suggestions?
  11. Does anyone have these in 3D? Sprinkler Wheel Valve Fire Connection Wye
  12. The link checker, below, did not find that to be a valid URL. https://www.psafe.com/dfndr-lab/
  13. I have it in version X15 but not in X14.
  14. I did find a CAD file but it is 2D. The Revit file can be exported 3D if you have Revit. I don't but you can get a 30 day trial. https://www.zehnder.co.uk/download/9f1da2b7205545cba472d7b2624c75de
  15. Thanks you, you are quite talented.
  16. I have 67 rooms in this building. What I did was set the CAD layer to Ceiling Grid Layer. Select one room, then use Match properties to get all rooms selected. Make a room polyline, While all still selected set fill to grid. This was very quick.
  17. The room area polyline comes with a hatch automatically, can you set the room area polyline to have one too? I'm using the CAD layer to set the layer but I wish i could force a 12x12 grid hatch.
  18. Looks like it will work out fine.
  19. I think you are correct, the tray ceiling is still fighting me. Your method seems to work in this case.. Thanks
  20. So crossing the wall is not the issue. You must have a small gap between the tray ceiling line and the auto generated exterior ceiling line. That seems to work.
  21. So for the ceiling use a 9 foot ceiling in all rooms & use a tray ceiling to raise the 2 feet in the core. Then use beams or solids on a layer that will display in section views for the header walls.
  22. I need the square footage to populate a room schedule. Room dividers will mess up the schedule.
