Just tried MS Edge & no issues. Looks like the Chief website is using a larger font. I am able to change Firefox font size & it changes for other web sites but not for Chief.

Not sure if this is the correct forum. I'm seeing this issue for the past week or so with the web site. The frame overlaps the one above. Do others have the same issue?

I too would like a check box for the cantilever truss. This would disable "Automatic Birdsmouth" check box It would place the bottom chord on the top plate. The rooftop chord would be a function of the overhang, sub-fascia, and perhaps chord member heights. I use Cantilevered trusses most of the time.

To upload a plan file you MUST close the file in Chief as Chief locks the file while in use. I think you need to create a "Truss Base" to solve your truss issue.

Try turning off Automatic Height in the upper stair.

Sometimes a room divider wall to nowhere will help with the intersection. Pull the one foundation wall back to break the connection. Drag a room divider wall from outside the house to intersect the foundation & then pull the other wall in to intersect. Tough to explain without a plan.

Yes, a box beam may do the job with special attention to the 2x6 butt joints. Maybe a double lower plate.

Thank Rob for the link. I suppose the casing can be removed to re-shim if any movement took place. Thanks Joe, we have 6 feet of 6" wall on each end to create sheer panels and the roof trusses run parallel to the wall so they can help with the racking forces. The beam is almost self-weight only. The perpendicular forces (wind) will need to transfer to the roofing diaphragm. But I'll leave that to the engineer to sort out.

I was using the grab bar out of the catalog & also Kohler Garb bars and they all resize the same. The ends get stretched when only the middle is supposed to stretch. What is the problem with these objects?

The customer for this house is asking for a 28' wide 8' tall sliding glass door on the 3rd floor. The 2nd & 3rd floor are frame construction. While the first floor is breakaway CMU with concrete beams. The foundation is a cc beam system supported by concrete piles. This is because the house is water front property in Florida and in a Floodway Zone. My concern is movement over time & the ability to re-level the door. Does anyone know of a system that will allow frame adjustments years down the road?

Yes, That's my complaint. When you import and the Layer exists, the REPLACE option does not overwrite the color or line weight. I send this to tech support yesterday.

When you import/export layer sets only the layer name is saved & imported? I am looking to save & replace layer color, line weight & line type. How would you do that? Can you use a Ruby routine to update existing layer data?
