  1. You're saying in the structure tab for Floor (C) just enter a + / - height elevation? +12" or -12"
  2. Can someone help with the steps of changing the floor height from one room to another. I have a project where on one side of the main family room there is a step up going to a front hallway and on the other end of this family room you step down to go to a back hallway. This is a slab on grade foundation. Ive attached a few pics showing the steps at the front and back hallways. Thanks!!!
  3. I have attic ladder showing in the down position. Can someone tell me the best way to cut the hole in the ceiling. This is a detached single story garage. Thanks
  4. I guess I asked a question that wasn't specific enough. I thought there had to be at some point (varies with systems people are using) where a certain number of symbol faces became more of an issue than others. I'll just open alot of core symbols for appliances. lights, fixtures, etc and and see where they fall. I just kept seeing that a high face count on a symbol can cause a plan to slow down. I was just trying to define what "high" was. Whether it is a range or a stool I would assume a face count of 300K is high and it doesnt matter what the symbol is. Sorry for the question
  5. Any thoughts on what do most feel that signify and high face count. 500, 2000, 5000, 20K+ ??
  6. I would like to know what people consider a "high" face count. Id there a way to look at a plan it see just how many total faces in all it has ?
  7. When I attempt to add an outlet to the back wall of a cabinet such as an island for a MW drawer or disposal where I have cabinets connected back to back it wants to snap to the opposite side of the cabinets back wall. I just knew before there were outlets that you could manually place using cntl. Thanks
  8. In previous versions there was a library folder in core / mechanical, electrical. plumbing that had cabinet mounted switches and outlets and I can no longer find where it went to. I used them to add outlets to the end of islands, under sinks for disposals, MW drawers, etc. All I can find now show they must be placed on a wall, on a ceiling or floor.
  9. thanks for the input
  10. I just loaded X10 and downloaded this library and all work fine. For some reason it didnt like X9
  11. Hampers, filler pullouts, cabinet pullouts, closet, sink base.
  12. I've got to ask whats is the deal with the new Rev-A-Shelf library for X10??? We use a lot of there cabinet pullouts and accessories and I was glad to see them included. However, going thru several symbols it leaves me disappointed. It has cabinet pullouts such as trash cans, pantry pullouts, spice racks, etc and they are all the same material. If the main unit is made out of wood then everything is made out of wood such as the trashcan, pot or pan, hinges and drawer guides and it does not allow material changes
  13. thanks for the input
  14. Just wondering if anyone had switched from the standard PC hard drive to a solid state drive and if you noticed any significant speed increase with CA.
  15. I search more but came up empty. With a few PS I placed on the door / transom frame, I was able to at least show the homeowner a ballpark rendering of what it should look like. Nothing fancy
  16. Beats me... I downloaded a fresh copy and tried to install it all three ways and get the same results each time. Funny thing is there are a handful (3-5) of textures scattered throughout but most are missing.
  17. Is it just me or did something not import correctly? The library folder loaded fine but is missing all the textures
  18. Has anyone seen a vintage window hardware for an operating transom anywhere or may have? Ive looked thru 3D WH with no luck. Thanks
  19. Thanks, I kept grabbing the center point and it didnt work. Thanks
  20. Please take a look at the attached drawing to see my question about changing the arch on a line drawing or a PS Thanks
