@Smn842Thank you for your input. The solution you pointed to works perfectly! I entered from x12-x15. This also explained why I would loose all of the programming since it would reset back to the default settings. A B I G THANK YOU! I'm sure you have helped many users today and in the future.

I can get the 3Dconnexion Spacemouse to work in x15 or x14 but not both. Do I need to make a change in the .cfg or another file? Does anyone have any suggestions?

@ComputetMaster86 thank you for your help and files. We located the problem with@MPDesign. He had a older software. He updated the software and your menus are now working on his system. We all appreciate your time and knowledge. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Does anyone know if you can import the setup from a space mouse pro into the enterprise version?

You have had this for a while. Have you updated to the new driver version?

I can't tell you how much time I have wasted trying to program the SpaceMouse. I'm also on Windows 10 Desktop and 11 Laptop and both have X15 since Beta. I'm working with the 3dconnexion spacemouse pro and trying to program radial menus with no success. All my hair is almost GONE...<LOL> I have tried using the hot keys of W,E for "Walls Exterior" I have a screen capture of the macro and the xml text below. PS:I have tried different delays with the same result. Then W for walls, then E for Exterior walls. This always puts me on wall hatching. I have tried different delays with the same result. I even tried on another computer to be sure that it was not an issue on my desktop. The result was the same. Justin, I work with file sizes like you have many times. Yes, I dress mine out for the clients during the design process to give them a better understanding of space. The file size does not bother me. I have opened yours with no issues. Your CPU Intel i7-4770 Quad-Core is almost 10 years old. I believe that is your main issue. I could not imagine how slow your computer would be handling this file. The benchmark speed of your cpu is 7055, while a new i9-13900K is 59658. If you are designing homes of this caliber then In my opinion it would pay you to upgrade your system. I'm guessing that you must have a newer Video card than the GTX 970. I did not think that X14 would run on that card. Regards, Ken

I'm Looking at the plan. Nice job. You need to update your signature to X14. I will post if I see anything creating the file size.

Doug, Sometimes in live sections, I need to use a point marker as the point of dimension. While Chief dimensions to the correct point in the section, the leader line will shoot out into space. Using the point marker stops this from happening. If you don't want to see the point marker, then just make it smaller after you have what you want. Maybe point marker size .002 Ken

Mick, You also had a good catch on the hardware! I had to buy a new laptop to run x14 in the field due to an older video card. Oh well it was a great laptop for 10 years....

You are sending elevations, floor plans, and framing details to cad details, IMHO. This is a BIG No NO in 99% of the cases. Work with live elevations and floor plans. Each line takes up space in memory. I fought Chief until I took classes to understand the program and how it works and watched videos. I suggested using separate plan files just to speed up this plan. Classes one on one helped me to understand how to use Chief. There are people in this forum that can teach you, or Chief themselves. If you want to message me I will give you a few names. I'm taking a week long class in February and looking forward to it. The classes were and are still a good investment for me. PS: Premier X14 is far superior to X12 Best wishes!

I try not to send walls with such complex patterns to a cad detail. Keep them as walls.

Go to cad details under the project browser. You can delete all at one time or each one on its own.

Doug, I believe the issue is the plan size due to the Cad Details. Your plan file is 326 meg as you posted it. Deleting the cad details it becomes 82 meg. Since all of your cad details are lines and pictures, you may consider having them in a separate file. In your detail 1 under cad details all of your walls and hatch patterns are all lines. This is part of what is creating the huge file. I try not to send walls with such complex patterns to a cad detail.

There is not enough information to answer the framing text question. However your default set "Framing Default Set, Floor" rich text layer is set to the "text" layer. The normal text is set to use "layer" for default

All of your text sizes are 8". edit your text style 1/4" and make it 4.25" . Then use the layer cabinets, labels and set the text to 1/4" text style.
