PLANSAHEAD
Chief 8 is great, I have found it to be the most seamless migration ever and the CAD tools are so much better. Legacy plans also open well for me. However I have noticed a significant lag time opening 8, sometimes as long as two minutes. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks. michaelgia
These kind of comments are making me jittery about upgrading from X6 to X8. I have noticed that there are is a lot less static over X8 as there've been quite a few posts regarding X8 sluggishness. I guess it's still an issue. What system are you using? Have you gone through all the necessary video card tweaking etc.?
DRAWZILLA
X8 is very good to go with, now, slowness depends on what your computer spec's are. Maybe it's time b/c I don't have slowness anymore, they fixed it. Had to do with to many macro's.

English
No problem here -- but I'm running a Mac not Windoze. Alan
DRAWZILLA
It might not be the anti virus program. when you open Chief , it checks the internet (chiefs website), to see if you are a valid user then opens the program for you. given all the different internet speeds it could take longer for some people. One time Chiefs website shut down and some people couldn't open for them. I think once you open Chief you have about 2 weeks before it check again.
