TheKitchenAbode
Was noticing some lag and slower than normal Raytracing. Checked my resource monitor and X8 even under idle (no workload) was utilizing 12%-14% of available CPU. See attached screenshot for Resource Monitor details. Anyone else noticing this? MarkMc
Just checked the new machine, layout and two plans, two elevations and one perspective open in CA-zero at idle. - at idle is zero.
TheKitchenAbode
Hi Mark - That's how it should be. All of my other programs are at 0% when idle, it's just Chief and possibly something to do with this particular plan I'm working on. Been working with this plan for about 4 hours, it's still stuck at 12% and won't budge. Noticed this being slow a few days ago, will have to think back to understand what I was doing that triggered this. Graham

TheKitchenAbode
Thanks David - It's really looking like something in my plan. Will try to track it down a bit later once I get this finished off. Graham
TheKitchenAbode
Still working on this. Here is another Resouce Monitor screenshot. For some odd reason when I activate a Raytrace one or more background services starts to run. In this case they are eating up 25% of my CPU. Sometimes it's the WMI Adapter Service or something else, seems to be no rhyme or reason. When I stop the Raytrace they all go back to Zero.
