1) When someone answers your post correctly the person who created the thread can mark it as answered. This will help others who may have the same question.

 

2) Reputation. You may see in the user list a number next to some users. This is user reputation. When you see a post or content you like you can click the up arrow at the bottom of the item to increase reputation by a point. If you see things you don't like you can click the down arrow. Use this tool to encourage good content and discourage bad content. Users have limited numbers of points to award, 10 positive ponts per day and 1 negative point per day. Use them to help promote good posts.

 

3) Thread Rating. At the top of each thread you will see a 5 star rating. If you read a thread rate it. This will help others determine the good content from the not so good content.

 

Using these tools will help make the board a better experience for all.

Dan,

I can no longer find the "User List" or "Thread Rating".  Are those things totally gone from the Forum Web Site?  They were pretty useful.

That's odd. I'm seeing them both as an admin and when logged in as a normal user.

 

Try making your browser window wider.

The Rate this Topic 5 Star Icon is still there on the left under the Topic Starter's Username , but the User/Member list has been gone a While, though there is a Online User list on the light gray bar at the Top,  though that's not the Same as a "Members" Bar and isn't any good unless they are online.

I concur with Mick's response. 

 

I did find the "Rate this Topic" (5 Star Icon) but the old "User/Member" list is gone.

You are right. We only see the online user link now.

 

You can access the member list through search. 

That changed a while back due to some design changes by the software vendor.
