basilbabaa
How can I create wall types and rafters types to enable me to layout carports from Tube Steel and Metal? Like these: (See Attached) I am trying to create walls and rafters @ 12 Gauge 2.25" tubular steel 4' OC. But cannot seem to get the process as I am unfamiliar with how to do and best approach. Thanks for any suggestions and any detail offer-able, as I am new to this.
keithhe
Can't you just make the rafters, which default as wood, then change the material dbx to be steel, aluminum, or anything you want? It will then look like steel, aluminum etc....
Joe_Carrick
Posts & Rafters can be Steel-Box (ie: Steel Tubes). Check the Defaults for Framing. You can specify the Type for Rafters in the Roof Structure Definition.

Joe_Carrick
Johnny, Do you mean the X in the Post? That can be suppressed in the Post dbx by unchecking "Show Cross".
