verticalworks
Is there a way when drawing the decking railing to have the balusters (spindles) to come over the front of the deck rim joist. I attached picture to show what we are doing.
DavidJPotter
Building the railing manually is the only way I know of to get just that exact look, using multiple copy and or transform-replicate, it does not take all that long to do. DJP
verticalworks
But no way to get in a render view just 2D?
DavidJPotter
No, I meant 2D and 3D, you make a baluster, newel posts and railings to fill in your invisible railing walls just as you would do it in the field, you do it in the software and it will look fine in plan and in 3D views if done properly. You can use soffits, poly-line solids, molding poly-lines, slabs or whatever you are comfortable with to manually build the railing. DJP
verticalworks
Got it. I will give that a try. Thanks.
tommy1
David got it right. I've done it several times. Once you learn how to do it, you'll find that you can do it fairly quickly and can have it look exactly the way you want.
Joe_Carrick
There is another option by using a 3D molding but it would not show in 2D.
