Ron: yep, but reality can be a PITA Chief is way too complicated to do backward compatibility the only way to do it would be for Chief to ignore anything that was new to X6 when saving as X5 this would leave big gaping gaps in the model it would also create unconnected pieces and parts and Chief can't handle little bits of stuff floating around not connected to other bits of stuff It would be a major PITA having to examine every "corner" of a model to see what was F'd up or not then if you miss something was missing or F'd up ???
