johnny
Is there a way to turn off temp dimensions from CAD lines and things? I went to defaults and dont' seem to have the control over temp dimensions as I do others. How are you guys working with these dimensions in your face constantly - covering the lines you are actually working on? Here is an example... Ginkgohouse
Toggle the "Temp Dimension" button.
johnny
Thanks Mark. I'll do that for sure, but I was curious if there is a way to make it so temp dimensions show for certain things and not others?
WendyatArtform
There are some options, but not for including or excluding object types
johnny
Thanks guys! Q: do you guys think we should have similar options for temp dimensions as we do other types? Personally Id like to see this as an option, since seldom (to never) do I use any temp dimensions to control a multi-sided poly-line shape. Perhaps for boxes and rectangles, but even there I control through the Dbx.
Alaskan_Son
I see what you're getting at Johnny, but modifying the tool seems like It might not be the best investment of resources. I mean...you can already just turn off temporary dimensions whenever you want with a single click of the mouse and unless I'm mistaken you could just asign a hotkey to toggle it on and off. Can't get much easier than that.
glennw
Or change your arrow size so that they don't get in the way.
kMoquin
You can go into your Default Settings > Dimension > Dimensions and select an Active Dimension Default with a scale more appropriate to the scale you are working in.
