owenplum
I have a floor plan & am trying to place a camera to see the 3D view. When the camera tab open it is blank with no image, any ideas?
Dennis_Gavin
Never heard of that before. The only thing that comes to mind is that you have a very low quality video card. Have you tried closing down and rebooting the system? One other possibility is that all the layers are turned off in 3D view. What version of Chief are you using? Alaskan_Son
Another possibility as that your camera is not facing your model or is above or below it.
owenplum
Camera is definitely facing the house, and is on the right level. Was thinking of a computer upgrade so may have to look into video card. Layers seem to be right in 3D view. Using X7, never had this problem in previous version. Kiwideziner
Are you on a laptop? are you using a dedicated video card? or on board? unfortunately only guesses without a plan.
owenplum
NO the video card is not dedicated and yes on laptop. thinking this is probably the case, what are minimum requirements I should look for on upgrade?
Kiwideziner
A proper nvidia card at least 600 series with min 2Gb on board . Check out my signature and also others to see what is working. I have found that X7 will not run without a dedicated card, my laptop works reasonably well more than adequate for field work.
builtright3
Was this the first time you tried the 3D on this computer or has it worked before? The reason for me asking is I have two video cards on my computer and if its not set to the right one I have the same problem.
