rv4life
Hello, I currently have Home Designer Suite. I am trying to create more commercial properties for a concept I am developing. Would it make more sense to purchase Chief Architect Premier versus keeping Home Designer? Thank you! Shane Carman
DRAWZILLA
I would say upgrade if its your business of course Chief is really designed for residential but a lot of people here do commercial drawings. If you really learn all Chief has to offer, you can do anything.
Kbird1
For Concept Work I would think you could use HD Pro for most of it , then if you go to Construction Phase you could always upgrade to Chief then, the $500 for Pro is refunded /rebated against the Chief Upgrade purchase so you would lose nothing. rv4life
I am actually a student and the site says I could purchase Premier for $99.
lbuttery
while Chief can do 30 floors if your project is really "commercial" then you may need to consider Revit (or similar) Suite is way too limited for your purpose HD PRO "might" work for awhile but I suspect you would need to upgrade to Chief Premier probably best to consult with CA's sales team and they can advise the best product for your needs Lew
lbuttery
By student you have to be enrolled in a qualified program check with CA's sales dept Lew
Kbird1
The Student program also Watermarks everything I believe , not sure if it has other limitation as the Trial version Does.
