DeLayDesign
I haven't needed to do this in X17; until today... and naturally I can no longer find the options to export my layer sets, defaults, and wall types. I've opened a support case with Chief, but does anyone know where they moved this feature to and/or why they removed it? It is a valuable feature for me when I'm working with outdated darwings. Solution DeLayDesign Posted June 9 Author Solution Share Posted June 9 Looks like the function to export has been removed, but the import is still available by selecting a plan file instead of a specific layer set, default and/ or wall types file. SeaGlassHomes
How specifically do you import a layer set or plan view set in X17? There isn't much on the forum about it and I can't find anything in the help section. Thanks.
DBCooper
Quote How specifically do you import a layer set or plan view set in X17? Try this: 1. File->import->import settings from plan/layout 2. Choose the file you want to import the settings from 3. Expand the drop down for layer sets (or saved plan views) 4. Choose the layer set(s) you want or check the top box for all of them 5. Choose "replace" or "rename" if you are trying to replace the existing one or if you want the imported ones to have different names. You can find more info in this tech article: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00386/importing-settings-from-an-existing-plan-layout.html
