Hello - Anybody have a drawing I can use to copy over some tighter dashed line types?

With line weights toggled off - looks good:

When Toggled on - Dash spacing is too large:

Maybe a quick recap on how to change them in the line types dialog would help also... I've tried with little success.

Thanks,

Ben

Do you already have "dash (tiny)" in your plan?

If not, you should have it in the core libraries.  You can then just select it and draw a new line in your plan and it should then be available for anything in the plan.

If you do, and it's still too big, then you can make a new one that is smaller.  Just copy "dash (tiny)" to your user library.  Rename it something like "super tiny" or whatever.  Open the dialog and change the length and spacing from 1/32" to 1/64".

NEW Question about Line Styes....

The dashed lines seem to not dash at each end. The have a "nose" and a "tail" that do not dash correctly.

Is this normal? Any way to turn it off?

Im trying to draw a detail where i show a dashed line to represent a 4-1/2" screw but it wont show dashed because the ends of lines don't seem to dash.

Any way around this issue?

Thanks,

Be aware, many times turning off the endcap produces a tiny dash at the end of the line that doesn't look good. I don't like the endcap, but haven't been able to get away from it because most times the endcap looks better than nothing.
