PitMan71
Its because of your "open to below" space for the stairwell. Why it's only affecting that side is beyond me. The notch is where the sill plate is on top of the stem wall. You can clean it up by turning off the brick extension on your brick wall above. Then you will have a bit of manual wall cleanup you will need to do in the space where the notch is. If you want a brick ledge you might want to consider doing a ponywall for the basement with 8" concrete at the bottom and a brick concrete wall at the top where the brick face lines up with the brick face above. Constructionwise I don't know how that would work since I typically use 12" poured walls for my foundation. Eitherway its an idea maybe you didn't think of yet. Not sure what's going on but the easiest way I found to fix the brick was create a 0.1" width "room" next the the exterior wall, and turn off the room label:
JKEdmo
If you turn on Balloon / Extend through Floor Below for platform intersections for that particular wall it cleans up well. Also, like Shane set you might want to review whether the 3" extension is needed for brick in that wall definition.
Doug_N
Thanks for the comments. This is an as built drawing, so the brick ledge is required in the sections that will have to be included in the renovations for damp proofing the basement as well as the details of the furred basement walls and insulation. One problem that I have to solve with this project is a wet basement. The wall can be fixed by manually adjustments, but it just seems strange that it happens at all.
