JonathanK
More just curious than anything...is anyone using the Time Tracker native to Chief? If so, do you have any tips and tricks on it? It feels woefully inadequate, but it's nice having it run automatically in the background so that our multiple designers can work on a project and not have to worry about logging time to a specific project. How do you guys log time to a project?

para-CAD
I have it turned on automatically for any time I’m working on a chief architect file. I use different time trackers, like Clockify, when using other apps for me, I export it into an Excel spreadsheet where I can total all the times in a column and assign a value per time (rate of $/hr) Edited 4 hours ago by para-CAD
JonathanK
Thanks for the replies, everyone. We're looking to bill per hour for our services. The thought was to use time tracker in Chief. But after messing around with it for a little bit, it just feels like it's missing options. I would like a custom toolbar or something that shows what my total time is on the entire project. Just something to quick reference. It also feels clunky with the amount of entries per day there are. It seems like there could be functionality there to merge times or something like that. Even the sorting date and things like that are clunky. I suppose it just comes down to like what @para-CAD brought out and just export it to Excel and do my cleanup work there. I was just curious what others have done/ are doing.

You can edit the entries you can also adjust the timeout parameters: I tend to think 5 min is too tight as i may lookup some reference info for 10-15 minutes and I am still actively working but not moving the mouse.
