Door opening - Not showing on Foundation Plan

Hi there,

 

I would like to show a dashed line where the man door / overhead door openings are in the foundation plan.

It used to default when I used X15 but since using X16 I can't seem to figure out how to show it.

Maybe you are looking to turn on the "Opening Header Lines" layer in you reference view?

I wondered if it was a layer, I tried that and it didn't do anything

Hmmm, it works for me, as long as I have it turned on in the referenced view of the floor above.

Are your doors actually low enough to make a cutout in the foundation walls?  If they are, then you should probably post your plan.

Yeah nevermind the opening header lines they won't help with cutting out the stem wall at openings. Just follow DBCooper's train of thought, as usual.

I'm curious, do you dimension the man door and overhead door foundation cutout(buck as known here)? 

Overhead doors here will get a 16'4 or larger cutout for a 16' door.

 

From what I have seen on plans, these do not ever get dimensioned, or at least not that I have seen
