Waterloo5099
I'm trying out CA17 and ran into a problem when I attempted to put two base cabinets together, back-to-back, to form an island. I can't get them to line up correctly. One end of a cabinet will stick out, while the other end will do the same. No amount of moving them around or manually changing the settings within Open Object helps. What am I doing wrong? Is it a limitation of the trial version? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
MarkMc
My guess would be to turn off grid snaps. It works for me.
DBCooper
Assuming that those cabinets are the same width, then it looks to me like the only problem is that they are just not aligned with each other. Some times you can get them to snap together by moving one of them farther away first, letting go of it, and then when you move it back look for the object snaps to get them back aligned. Another thing that can help is to use the point-to-point move tool or maybe even the center object tool. Another way that can work is to drag one of the cabinet corners using the middle mouse button to snap to the other cabinet corner. MarkMc
I just use center about object-grid snaps off.
SHCanada2
i run into this all the time. I use center object like db says, in both directions. I start with one cabinet for the first top row, then the next cabinet on the lower row, move the this unit it bumps up to the one above, then center it on the one above. then add another cabinet to top row, move it unit it bumps to the first cabinet, then center on the the first cabinet. rinse repeat or you can probably use the multiple copy tool once you have the first two set
