AshleeRoseDesign
Hello, Why is my vaulted ceiling not showing in 3D? I designed this room above a garage. Roof is a 7:12 pitch with a 7' plate line. The ceiling is set to a 3.5:12 pitch to mimic what is anticipated for the trusses. In perspective view the 7' wall shows, but the room is still showing as taller and the ceiling isn't showing properly. Appreciate any guidance! kellyh
Have you drawn in the custom ceiling planes at the lower height for the room? If so, is the "Height Inside Wall" set to the proper height in the custom ceiling specification?
AshleeRoseDesign
Thank you Kelly for the advise. I tried opening the ceiling planes and changing them to 84". I'm realizing this issue is only happening in my loft space that is open to a stairwell. The bedroom and closet are showing properly. See attached screen shots of before and after I made the ceiling plane adjustment.
DBCooper
My guess is that it has something to do with the stairwell which is basically just an "open below" room. Whatever settings you have made in the great room probably need to match in the stairwell (and maybe the closet as well). Might be best to just post the plan. In order to post the plan, you are probably going to want to make a copy of it without any of the furniture or fixtures since these typically make the plan much bigger. Also, you are going to want to zip it up to make it smaller and only do this when the plan is closed or it might not work. If that doesn't make the plan small enough to attach directly, then you are going to have to post it online somewhere and then post a link to it. AshleeRoseDesign
Proposed- Option C 9.27.25.zip Hello DBCooper, Thank you! I changed all settings in the stairwell and closet that I could see to match the loft area and it still didn't fix it. Attached is the chief file. Appreciate your help and guidance.
