Make a suggestion to Chief in the other forum section.  There is much we cannot do on stair treads, and this is one of those.

A picture of what you are after would be good.  Unless you need to show the actual framing details, this might be pretty easy just using a stretch-to-it texture of the tread design.

Please see attached picture. I ended up using a polyline solid to get the look, but if anyone has a better idea I'd love to hear it!

So, did you show these on your model?  Did you use the stair tool, and minimum the size of the tread and then just placed these in its spot?

@mtldesigns No, but that is a good idea. I just created a polyline solid and placed it like 1/16 - 1/8 inch above the tread. It was more for a visual for the client, so I just made it work.
