Michael_Gia
I somehow don't know how to do this anymore? I've been using the, "save as" method for so long that I can't figure out how to export layer sets from one plan and import them into another. It's sad to admit, but what am I missing? I thought this was always in the file menu under export? Help!

Hi Michael, the tool you're looking for is actually an import tool. Go to File>Import>Import Settings From Plan/Layout. This tool has plenty of options and allows you to select only what you need. It's a very handy tool!
CAmichael240114
Quote:(How to export layer sets in X17?) You are correct, pre X17 you could export, layer sets, default sets, wall definitions from a plan. For some unknown reason the export function for these in X17 has now been removed. I exported these as a backup for my template plan in case they got altered or became corrupt. I presume the only way to retain these now is to keep a copy of a template unchanged as a backup

Its actually File > Import > Legacy Settings Import. Then you get the options to import the traditional, layer sets, default sets etc… Why did they burry this? Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, Rob.
