mtldesigns Posted yesterday at 02:06 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:06 AM Scratching my head on this one.. done this a hundred times, but for some reason the shed roof where it overlaps the 10/12 roof looks right, but as the title states, the fascia nor the drip edge come in. I have stretched the planes back and then into position, I have even deleted the plane and put in a new one. Typically if there was an issue my frieze or soffit wouldn't show, but its there as well. I know this must be a setting issue.. I'm just not seeing it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Recording 2025-08-15 220313.mp4
mtldesigns Posted yesterday at 03:51 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 03:51 AM I think I figured out the "why"... the overhang is 18", and it lines up perfectly over the interior lower garage door wall, if I moved this overhang 1" in either direction, the fascia appears. Besides going with a 17" or 19" overhang, I'm not sure how to fix it.
Mark3D Posted yesterday at 04:34 AM Share Posted yesterday at 04:34 AM I would submit a bug report on that

But no breaks (highlighted walls in orange). And most plans I turn off auto attic walls anyways, and model my own. To get this approval set out, I just brought the plane edge in 1".. Def. will need to fix at CONDOC time. I've never sent in a bug report in all these years, if Chief actually finds the issue and fixes it, do they fix that model and send it back, or inform me of the fix..? I am just thinking if I move forward on the CONDOCs, how they communicate a fix if what they have is outdated? I hope that makes sense.

I thought perhaps the Garage Wall was somehow causing a break in the Attic Wall , there is a setting "allow lower Roof planes" (paraphased) but it doesn't always seem to work for some reason. Tech Support can be pretty quick, they'll send your plan back and usually tell you the fix etc which you should be just able to incorporate into the Plan you are working on, and the Layout should update when refreshed (update all views button).
