Yep....sketchup can do this, but exporting it to the correct format would be nice.  

I tried OBJ and lost all the resolution.

what do you mean you lost resolution?
Looks like the glass material just needs to be converted to chiefs glass material

There are dials on the meters......

 

It would be nice to see it the same in chief as in sketchup

 

I don't do things in render to this level, but the OP probably wants more realism than the OBJ output.

 

This is why I don't import 3D.  I can just import a static screen shot from SU and it works for me

Now if I could just share the plan with the original post member without sharing all the internals, like details from you and Dan embedded, then that member would be set.

 

Yes........it's a nice slow day and I was fishing for something to help out with.

edit area paste hold right into the default residential plan :)
but also just share it from your library as a library symbol. right click export calib file
