woodsmith Posted April 7, 2015 Share Posted April 7, 2015 Hi Everyone, I am super new to this program and the forum so please bear with me...I have been trying to find information on creating a roof plan (for the purpose of inserting as a plan in layout) that shows the fnished roof with materials (patterns) etc. I see the roof in the full camera overview, but can not navigate higher then the "A"ttic level. How do I insert such a plan into my documentation. Additionally, is there any way to have the plan level you're on show everything below as well (exterior only...not reference plans exactly)...An example would be if you're on the second floor plan level and you have a one storey addition and deck in the plan level below.. is there a way to have this information viewable? In this example you would simply see the roof of the addition below and the deck beyond that...I have used the setting in the floor context camera but can't find a way to do this on the plans. Kiwideziner Posted April 7, 2015 Share Posted April 7, 2015 by using annosets and reference layers. You have to make up new layersets and then use them as ref sets. DRAWZILLA Posted April 7, 2015 Share Posted April 7, 2015 Copy a layer-set that's close to what you want, re-name it "roof plan reference set". Turn on and off the layers you want to show on your reference set. Also adjust line styles and line-weights. Bring up your roof plan and turn on the reference icon. Double-click on the floor number and choose the reference set you just made, then you will see what you referenced to the plan. This could be confusing.
