Renerabbitt
This is just a short video I had to get out for my clients but maybe it helps someone else out. Ill be making a more comprehensive video when final release comes out "#ChiefArchitect users, I made about as short a video as I could manage on the X17 Beta #projectbrowser, please go check it out, hopefully it helps you figure out how to share to other users, inter-office, to the cloud, and backup and understand how the system works and some of the benefits of the system:"
Joe_Carrick
Hi Rene, This was a great video. Chief should have hired you to do their PM online presentation. I've over the years always kept my projects in Chief Version specific Folders with Project sub-Folders. I guess I'm going to need to bring everything forward to X17 if I'm going to use PM. I'm a little reluctant - especially with Beta - due to the risks of getting something messed up. IAE, do you have any suggestions for this? Should I keep my old Folder system and just use PM for current projects and older projects that become active again? Thanks
Rich_Winsor
It looks like you have a serious light bleed situation. Do you have a roof over that room and a foundation?
SHCanada2
great video, especially with the as built tidbit. For the question of "should I rename" the .plan file when copying a project. If you dont and have the same plan name open for multiple project, and multiple views open, the names on the tabs become smaller and more difficult to differentiate. As such, one might want to rename I did put in a request to have the option when copying a project, to specify a name and then that cascades to the plans and layouts in the project. Easier said then done though as CA would need to know whether to prepend or replace
