amatuer
Hello everyone. I am in need of help and I am looking to this knowledgeable community. I wish I could Conttibute to you all before asking for your help but I don’t know what else to do as my dock designers are limited. I am building a boat dock on a lake. My sea wall is angled 16’ over 70’ with set backs makes a parrellogram to maximize my deck space. I want the area totally covered by roof. i originally wanted a hip roof design but not sure if that can be placed over a parallelogram. what recommendations for a roof design that can actually be built would you recommend

Hoff_Design
Yeah the framers would have special words while cutting the compound angles. Some may appreciate the challenge though.

Haha, yeah I immediately started to conjure up how I would do it, then had to peel myself off...
Rookie65
I'm not sure even a truss company would enjoy or be able to do that one!
PitMan71
High shed toward the water would make that job a lot simpler for the framer. Probably look really good too.
para-CAD
A Hip roof would not be calculatable and would look like a mistake. PitMan has a good solution. I could frame it.....but you'd pay the PIA fee. Here's a quick video showing the challenges. 1
