Dormer Roof Fascia Mystery

Hello all

A little mystery for all of you.

Take a look at the attached plan. On the right side of the dormer the eave fascia is not drawing correctly. If the intersecting roof edge is pulled through or away from the main roof, the fascia is drawn as intended.

Any idea what's going on here?

Thanks for having a look.

@PitMan71I had the same results on a test plan in x16 and x17 bata, it just happens on the right side. It happened in my test plan when one room (entry) has a higher ceiling and the roof builds above the main roof and only with eave marked square cut. I turned in a bug report in x17 bata so you might want to send in one for x16.

I can't find any reason; it looks like you've built everything correctly. I would also suggest reporting this.

Until then, increasing the fascia depth to 10.6" will provide a match to 7.25". Just keep an eye out for when this fixes itself and then needs to be changed back to 7.25"...and then back to 10.6"...and so on!

Sounds like a bug.

I will report to chief.

From Chief Support:

Hi Shane,

I have been working on this and am currently unable to find the cause or a solution better than the one you have already offered.

I have reported this to the development team to see if they can isolate the issue and come up with a better resolution.

Regards,

Kristopher
