I am designing a two story garage with three overhead doors. above the doors the walls are stacked up so the face of the first floor and second floor line up flush.

I want to put a two foot deep with an 8" pitch roof with a level soffit under it. I would prefer to hip the left and right end of the design to look like a hip roof.

I cannot seem to get this right at all. Any help on how to add this would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Dennis,

If you have started this project, then posting the plan file may help someone to answer your question.  Also a photo of an example might be clearer than your posed question.2128077906_ShedDormer.thumb.png.5352e0ceb67ce325cdf108f673ac06f3.png

Something like this?

You can accomplish this using roof planes. Then you will need to check Boxed Eave:" and set to the depth of your overhang, in your case 24". Create any brackets you want with 3d solids.

I learned how to do manually roofs with this video.

It will be helpful when building a roof where there is no room definition.

Good luck.

Are you talking about something like this lower awning roof or eyebrow overhang thing?

This is exactly what I am talking about! Great Job! Can you advise me on how to do this?

Thank you so much!

Its nothing more than a simple manual roof that I dragged out across the front of the building.  You could probably force it to auto build with some invisible walls, but manual is super easy.  Just drag out the 3 little roof planes and join them up...
