LotzCC
I have one portion of a roof with an overhang/soffit that extends 2 or 3 feet further than other adjacent roof planes, but the soffit does not extend to the house wall. See attached site photo and screen shot of my current model. Please help.
BenPalmer
Define/create a room under the soffit with invisible walls OR manually draw in the soffit with a 3D solid.
SHCanada2
up to about 36" you can set the eave for that wall, and in the build roof, set the eaves to boxed with flush eave
mtldesigns
3 hours ago, LotzCC said: extends 2 or 3 feet further than other adjacent roof planes, but the soffit does not extend to the house wall What I would do is go to the attic level, and extend that gable wall all the way to the edge of that roof plane. Then manually draw a flat ceiling plane for the soffit. Then you won't need a roof definition below and I believe you can create framing. A solid would work too, but will not provide framing (if you need that)
LotzCC
Thanks Michael. That's definitely a good workaround suggestion.
