Note sizes

Hello, I work for a design/build remodeling company, and something I am trying is to put note callouts on our elevations, for items like kitchen cab accessories, etc. I know how to make new notes and corresponding schedules, but I want to make the elevation callout smaller, while keeping the schedule symbol at a larger size. I have messed with this a bit, but can't figure it out. Right now, if I resize the elevation callout, it also resizes the symbol on the schedule. I thought it might be worth asking if this is possible to have them be different sizes in the different views, thanks!

Open the schedule and turn off "use plan view scale" for the preview.  The size in the schedule will then be set by the schedule column width and then you can make the size in the elevation/plan whatever you want.

What exactly are we talking about here?  My interpretation of @Leadcarpo's q is how to separately control display of note callouts in elevation views, from their size in the note schedule.

I did a test, cutting an elevation view, placing a note, generating a note schedule, setting control manual in the note's d'box, setting text size to that for 1"=1', setting callout size at 24 inches, and look at what is generating.  I can do the box uncheck DB advises, and can change the size of the callout circle in the schedule, but without knowing what the OP wants to do, I cannot advise a solution.

Thanks guys! Gene your view is perfect. I want the size to stay the same in the actual schedule, similar to what you have shown, but i want to be able to shrink the note callout size in the elevation view to be able to place it on a cabinet drawer for example, without hiding too much detail. I haven't tried DBC's suggestion yet, but right now if I adjust the size in either location, it affects it in the other location.

Note label size set manually to 5 inches, note text style is what I use for K&B which is 1/2" = 1'

I didn't do anything to the note schedule except try to control the circle size by manually shrinking the column width.

Gene, that only works if you turn off either "scale images" or "use plan view scale" in the schedule dialog.  In X16, I think these are turned on by default and maybe you already have one or both them turned off in your template.

I try and stay away from all the size confusion issues with scaling. This inch size : foot on this or that layout using this or that text size.... I just made two different sized CAD hex shape groups (blocked together with numbers) saved to the library.  One set for the elevation at about 2.75", and one set at 15" to match my chosen schedule symbol size. No matter what scale I send the elevation out to the layout, the symbol is always the same size in comparison to the cabinets. The schedule is kept on it's own CAD sheet and no matter what scale I need to make it fit onto the layout, they always stay in sync. I have a saved Kitchen Notes schedule in my plan template that is set up with the proper sized note symbol default, so I just drop a note on the CAD sheet and use the library saved symbols.
