SHCanada2
am i missing something or has it always been that way? ortho: back clipped up the hill: down the hill: I'm looking to show the terrain at the camera (my terrain is 2" thick) as the grade line, and perhaps also show at the end of the back clip... if I dont back clip it, it looks to show the grade at the far end of the terrain, which isnt what I want either. interestingly it will show the terrain line against a wall, so I suppose I could put in some sort of transparent solid at my camera...not ideal thanks backclip.plan OOTB plan attached
Doug_N
That is not the only case where terrain is not shown against the foundation wall. It seems to be a general problem with how CA deals with terrain that is shaped in complex ways.
tundra_dweller
Definitely seems like something strange going on. Also If you take an east-west backclipped section you get the terrain line cut off on the high side near the foundation.
ValleyGuy
I've noticed something wonky going on in one of my plans too. I ended up using the poly line driveway tool to put a thin box two feet out around the foundation. It hugged the terrain nicely, so I just put it on a separate layer line and turned off the terrain all together.
