bdammeyer
partial file.plan Hello, x14 roof issue. I am joining a 9/12 gable roof to a 6:12 hipped roof. Both roofs are square cut and both fascia top heights and shadow board top heights are set to 119 5/8". Can anyone help me figure out why the fascia and shadow boards just disappear as shown here: partial file.plan Thank You! SNestor
Fixed plan attached; Partial Plan File Fixed.plan The 9/12 gable roof was not centered...also, one side was 9/12, the other was an odd pitch (see screen clip). There are also extra break nodes in the valley that prevent joining of the valleys.
bdammeyer
I did notice the roof was slightly off center after posting. I have fixed that and removed the extra node. Still getting the same problem though. Were you able to get it to work on your end?
Solution SNestor Posted November 14, 2023 Solution Share Posted November 14, 2023 @bdammeyer - I posted a fixed plan above.

Fix the pitch and make sure the fascia top height settings stay the same. Then re-join the roof plane intersections: However since you have two different pitches, with square cut eaves, the soffit height will be different as shown at the red circle. The shadow board isn't showing on the eave because you have it set for gable only.
